Platform Quality Engineer (Guadalajara - MX)
As the Senior Platform Quality Engineer, you will:
- Ensure service compatibility and consumer-driven development using contract testing principles (e.g., Pact, Spring Cloud Contract).
- Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate effective testing methodologies and automated tools into the development process.
- Champion test-driven development practices to prevent and detect errors while ensuring faster feedback.
- Solve complex technical challenges related to infrastructure, testing, and quality engineering.
- Set up and maintain testing infrastructure (e.g., cloud environments, container orchestration) for scalable test execution.
- Work proactively with development teams to identify potential production issues and create risk-mitigation strategies.
- Foster a culture of shift-left testing and collective ownership of quality.
Desired Skills:
- 5+ years of quality engineering experience.
- Experience with server-side concepts, including microservices, databases, caching, performance, monitoring, and scalability.
- Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js) and Node.js.
- Proficiency with test automation tools: Mocha, Cypress, Playwright, RestAssured, k6, Pact.
- Understanding of DevOps practices and tools.
